diy spring vases

Last week at some point while marinating a tenderloin, I finished off our red wine vinegar bottle (which is the one in the picture above with the rounded bottom) and thought that it was a pretty bottle and so I rinsed it out and decided to save it.

Then I got my weekly Better Homes and Gardens update with this image above, so I pinned it and then later the light bulb went off.  I opened my fridge and noticed we had two almost empty bottles of tiger sauce, so I combined them together freeing up another glass bottle.  And for some reason I had already saved the smallest bottle months ago.  So the idea of small vases was created from the inspiration picture above.

I think the bottles I used were red wine vinegar, tiger sauce and small bottle of balsamic vinegar.  We were already painting our office furniture white, so I gave these three bottles a quick spray with the same white paint.  To decorate them I used two different ribbons and washi tape.  I just so happen to have 3 in this blue, so I went with it.

I added the white tulips to create a pretty, simple, Spring follower collection on my dining room buffet.

  7. Shucks, those are adorable! Trash to treasure accessories are some of my all time faves and your vases hit the spot! I agree with Maria above- the ribbons being removable is genius too cuz you can change as it suits your needs :)

Happy Easter Coming soon and it's always great to see creative minds at work. :)
